Carlos previously played for Fenerbahce, joining the team in January from Aston Villa for €11.5 million. The 32-year-old Brazilian player's move to Como seems to have been finalized after several weeks of reported interest from the Italian side.
Como has also bid farewell to one of their club legends, Alessandro Gabrielloni, who has joined Juve Stabia on loan. Gabrielloni has been an important part of Como's team, playing for the club from Serie C to the top flight. Recently, a statue was unveiled in his honor at the Stadio Sinigaglia.
Despite losing Gabrielloni, Como has strengthened their squad by bringing in goalkeeper Nikola Cavlina from Dinamo Zagreb on loan. This time, however, there is an option for Como to buy Cavlina permanently.
