Gibbs-White had initially seemed set to join Spurs, but he ultimately decided to reject the move and sign a new contract with Forest.
When asked about the situation, Milenkovic revealed that the players in the dressing room had a collective conversation with Gibbs-White, encouraging him to stay.
“We all hoped he would stay and we will now have him for the new season,” Milenkovic said.
He added that the club's ambition and desire to improve after last season played a significant role in Gibbs-White's decision to stay.
“This club has a big ambition and they wanted to show Morgan that ambition,” Milenkovic explained.
Milenkovic emphasized the importance of Gibbs-White's presence on the team, highlighting that he is the club's top player and provides a significant contribution to the team's performance.
“Everyone’s very happy” about Gibbs-White's decision to stay, Milenkovic concluded.
