Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof left the pitch at halftime during their recent Europa League quarterfinal win against Lyon. The reason for his early exit was explained by the team's manager, Ruben Amorim, as a "family issue".
Lindelof's wife, Maja, revealed that their youngest son was seriously injured after falling down a glass staircase and hitting his head. The incident occurred prior to the match, and the family spent two days in the hospital where the son underwent surgery to treat his injuries.
Fortunately, the family is now recovering well, and Lindelof was back in the starting lineup for Manchester United's next match, even taking on the captain's armband. However, their second game back was not as successful, as they lost 1-0 to Wolves.
