"We'll never know what might have happened without the red card," Petit said, "but I think Arsenal missed an opportunity to put more pressure on Chelsea, one of their biggest opponents for the title."

Petit also noted that the draw is particularly disappointing given Chelsea's impressive form this season, including their recent win over Barcelona.

"Chelsea and City are second and third on the table, and they're both big opponents for Arsenal to win the Premier League," Petit said.
