Having joined the club's academy at 16 years old, Vazquez spent nearly his entire career with Real Madrid, except for a brief loan spell with Espanyol.
On social media, Vazquez expressed his gratitude to the club's president, board, staff, coaches, teammates, and fans for their support throughout his time at the club.
He said, "Almost two decades have passed since I joined Real Madrid. Every step of my journey has been a gift, and over time, the club became my home. We have experienced unforgettable moments, and I'm proud to have won 23 titles with the team."
Vazquez also thanked the fans for pushing him to give his best in every game. He acknowledged the responsibility and privilege of representing the club and stated that he has enjoyed every moment of his time at Real Madrid.
With over 400 games played, Vazquez is leaving the club with a sense of calm and certainty, knowing that he has given his all to the team.
Real Madrid will hold a formal farewell ceremony for Vazquez at the Santiago Bernabeu on Thursday.
