Baroni has signed a two-year contract with Torino, taking over from Paolo Vanoli who left the team after the previous season.

This move comes after Baroni's tenure at Lazio was cut short due to the team's failure to qualify for European competitions.

Before joining Lazio, Baroni was in charge of Lecce.
