Gianluigi Donnarumma was born on February 25, 1999, in Castellammare di Stabia, Italy. He began playing football in 2003 and joined AC Milan's youth team in 2013. Donnarumma made a name for himself at the 2015 UEFA European Under-17 Championship with the Italian national team, where he was voted the tournament's best player.
During his six seasons with AC Milan, Donnarumma played 215 Serie A matches, 16 in the Europa League, and 12 in the Coppa Italia. He became the youngest goalkeeper to be called up to the Italian national team at the age of 17 and went on to win the UEFA Euro 2020 title with Italy.
