Glasner shared his thoughts on Mateta's readiness ahead of the Wembley match, saying: “JP had a challenging start to last season due to the Olympics tournament. He was away for preseason, and then emotionally, having the Olympic Games in his home country, and then losing the final. It took him a few weeks to regain his form.
“However, from that moment on, he returned to scoring goals. In the current preseason, he has been our top scorer, and he has also been providing assists. He understands how we want to play and is committed to investing in every game, which will give him the chances to score goals.
“We are excited about these matches. As I mentioned earlier in the FA Cup, when you ask children in schools about their dream, most of them want to play at Wembley at least once in their lives. We are living out our childhood dreams by participating in these games for the third time in three months.
