While the CBF has denied these reports, Ancelotti's future at Real Madrid is looking increasingly uncertain. The club is said to be eyeing a replacement, and former Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso is the hot favourite.

Alonso, now the boss at Bayer Leverkusen, is seen as the perfect fit to replace Ancelotti. Real Madrid is understood to be eager to secure his services before this summer's Club World Cup in June.
