Speaking to the press, Flick unleashed a fiery rant, highlighting the late kick-offs and early mornings his team has been enduring.

“How many games have we played in recent weeks? And now we’re playing late against Valladolid? We’re arriving back at the hotel at four or five in the morning,”

“I’m not making excuses, but it’s happening here, and I’ve never experienced this before. Every league protects their clubs in the Champions League, especially in the semi-final. It’s unbelievable,”
