Geremi's assistant, Daniel Blaise Ngos, has also been banned from football for two years and fined £6,500 for his part in the dispute. Geremi, who is 46 years old, had a successful football career and won the Premier League title with Chelsea in 2005 and 2006. He also played for other clubs, including Real Madrid, Middlesbrough, and Newcastle, before retiring in 2011.

Geremi is expected to appeal against the decision. However, for now, he will have to take some time away from football. He has 10 days to submit a written appeal against the ruling.
