According to reports, the transfer fee will be £40 million with a long-term contract for Kerkez. The defender is expected to undergo a medical in the coming days. This move has been widely anticipated, with even Kerkez's father hinting at the deal's completion.
Interestingly, Bournemouth have already found a replacement for Kerkez. They signed Adrien Truffert from Rennes for £14.3 million, leaving them with around £25.7 million to spend before the transfer window closes. Kerkez was signed by Bournemouth from AZ for £15.5 million in July 2023 and made 67 appearances for the club over two seasons.
Under manager Arne Slot, Bournemouth have been making shrewd signings, including Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen. The club is also set to sign Florian Wirtz from the Bundesliga side this Friday.
